Time Killers for the Sega Genesis came out in 1996, developed by Incredible Technologies and published by Black Pearl Software. It was a port of an arcade fighting game, arriving late in the console's life when players had already seen plenty of polished competitors in the genre.

You control one of several fighters, each with exaggerated weapons like broadswords or chainsaws, and face opponents in one-on-one battles. The main goal is to win each match by depleting the opponent's health or, more memorably, by dismembering them; landing heavy attacks can sever limbs, which affects their ability to fight back. Movement feels heavy and deliberate, almost sluggish, which makes positioning and timing more critical than combo execution. Matches can be brutally short or drag on awkwardly, and the difficulty spikes unpredictably. Playing it feels like wrestling with a stubborn, slightly broken toy that somehow keeps your attention through sheer absurdity.
