And yeah, it delivers on the gore—you can chop off limbs mid-fight or even decapitate someone before the round ends, which was kind of insane for a Genesis game. The controls are stiff, the characters move like they’re stuck in molasses, and the digitized sprites look like they were photocopied from a bad VHS tape. But there’s something weirdly charming about how over-the-top it is. Just don’t expect deep combat—this is pure dumb fun with a chainsaw-wielding barbarian and a guy who throws his own head at you.
Honestly, it’s more fun to laugh at than with, but that’s part of the appeal. If you’re into ‘so bad it’s good’ fighting games, this one’s a trip.
