Play Time Lord (Europe) Online
Blast through neon 2999 levels and weird time jumps where dinosaurs somehow fight spaceships—clunky diagonal shooting included, but it grows on you.

Time Lord came out for the NES in 1990, developed by Rare and published by Milton Bradley. It was part of that wave of late-era NES games that tried to push the hardware a bit further, often with mixed results, and this one definitely had its own particular flavor.
You control a time traveler sent to fix breaks in history, jumping between five distinct eras from the Old West to a futuristic city. The main goal is to explore each time period screen by screen, fighting enemies with your laser pistol that fires in fixed diagonal angles, a mechanic that feels awkward at first but demands precision. You collect hourglass pieces in each era to progress, battling screen-filling bosses that require pattern recognition and patience. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is unforgiving, with limited continues and enemies that respawn quickly. It feels like a stubborn, peculiar puzzle where every jump and shot must be calculated.
