Game Overview
ToeJam & Earl is this weird, funky little Genesis game where you play as two aliens who crash-landed on Earth—and honestly, Earth is way weirder than they are. You’ve got to wander through randomly generated levels, dodging stuff like hordes of nerds, phantom ice cream trucks (yes, really), and giant hamsters while hunting down pieces of your wrecked spaceship.
The best part? Power-ups come in wrapped presents, so you never know if you’re getting something awesome or a total dud until you open it. The levels shuffle every time, too, so no two playthroughs feel the same. And if you’ve got a buddy, the split-screen co-op is genius—it only divides when you wander apart, then snaps back together when you reunite. It’s chaotic, silly, and surprisingly deep once you get into it.
