Play Sonic the Hackable Online
Boot up Green Hill Zone, then immediately ruin it—swap sprites, tweak physics, or make Sonic moonwalk. The Genesis controls stay crisp while you break every rule.

Game Overview
Ever played a classic Sonic game and thought, "Man, I wish I could tweak this just a little"? That’s exactly what Sonic the Hackable lets you do—except "a little" usually spirals into completely rewriting how the game works. You start by booting up that familiar Green Hill Zone vibe, but then you realize you can swap Sonic’s sprite for a pizza, make him float like a balloon, or turn the loops upside-down. It’s ridiculous in the best way.
The controls still feel like the Genesis original—tight, fast, and satisfying—but now you’re the one breaking the rules. I spent way too long just messing with gravity settings before even finishing the first level. And if you’re into modding but don’t know where to start, it’s surprisingly forgiving. You’ll probably break something, but that’s half the fun.
Honestly, it’s the kind of game where you’ll say "just one more tweak" and suddenly it’s 2 AM. If you’ve ever wanted to put your own spin on Sonic’s world, this is your playground.
