Game Overview

Okay, so imagine the Olympics, but every athlete is a tiny hamster wearing a sweatband or a swim cap. That’s Tottoko Hamutaro Hamuhamu Sports in a nutshell. You pick your favorite squeaky little competitor—Hamtaro, Bijou, Oxnard, whoever—and jump into events like sprinting (which is mostly frantic button mashing) or high jump (timing is everything). The tug-of-war minigame is weirdly intense for something involving cartoon rodents.

The graphics are pure early 2000s GBA charm—bright colors, big expressive eyes, and hamsters celebrating wins by bouncing in place like they’ve had too much sugar. There’s a Caravan mode if you’re into chasing high scores, but honestly, half the fun is just watching them fail dramatically. Oxnard face-planting into the sand during long jump never gets old.

It’s not deep, but it’s the kind of game you’ll keep picking up just to see what ridiculous animation they’ve hidden next. If you’ve got a soft spot for Hamtaro or just need something ridiculously cheerful, this one’s a winner.
