Game Overview
Trog! is one of those weird, charming NES games that somehow makes dinosaurs collecting eggs feel urgent. You play as one of four little dinos (I always went with the purple one—no reason, just vibes) running through mazes, grabbing eggs before these caveman-looking Trogs wreck your day. The controls are simple, but things get chaotic fast when the Trogs start ganging up on you. Also, the power-ups are ridiculous—nothing like turning into a fire-breathing T-rex to even the odds.
It’s got that early ‘90s arcade feel where the music is bouncy, the colors are bright, and the whole thing shouldn’t be as fun as it is. Just don’t get cornered by those Trogs—they’re sneakier than they look.
