Trog! came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by Midway Games. It was a straightforward arcade port, the kind of game you'd find on a shareware disk or bundled with other simple titles of the era. It didn't try to push technical boundaries, but it offered a clear, colorful distraction on the platform.

You control a small, blue dinosaur named Trog, moving screen by screen to collect all the eggs before the cavemen can steal them. The main objective is to clear each level while avoiding enemies or punching them to stun them temporarily. Signature mechanics include grabbing power-ups like pineapples to temporarily transform into a powerful, stomping T-Rex, and navigating environmental hazards such as fire pits and catapults that launch rocks. The pacing is fast and the difficulty ramps up quickly as more aggressive cavemen types appear. It feels like a frantic, silly race against time where every screen cleared is a small victory.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
