Play Untouchables, The Online
Dodge tommy gun fire in smoky speakeasies, snipe mobsters from rooftops, then suddenly you're testifying in court—this NES shooter nails the gangster vibe even if the controls fight you sometimes.

Ocean Software released The Untouchables for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991, a time when movie tie-ins were common and often straightforward action affairs. It was based on the film of the same name, and like many licensed games of that era, it tried to capture the spirit of its source material within the technical limits of the NES.
You play as Eliot Ness, moving through side scrolling levels to take down Al Capone's criminal operations. The game mixes standard run and gun shooting with specific mechanics like a sniper rifle mode where you pick off targets from a static vantage point, and brief courtroom segments that break up the action. The pacing is uneven, with some sections feeling rushed and others brutally difficult due to stiff controls and aggressive enemy patterns. It feels like a rough but earnest attempt to translate a cinematic crime story into 8-bit action.
