Konami released Wai Wai World for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1988. The game shifts genres constantly, from platforming to overhead exploration to forced-scroller shooter, which keeps the pacing unpredictable. It can be brutally difficult in spots, demanding quick adaptation to each new style of play.
