Wai Wai World [T-Eng3.0] (J) is one of those weird NES platformers where you switch between Konami characters—each with their own movement quirks. One minute you're jumping as Goemon, the next you're shooting as Simon Belmont, and it never quite feels smooth.
The levels are chaotic, throwing enemies and obstacles at you without much rhythm. I remember getting stuck early on because I didn't realize some characters could swim while others just... sank. The translation patch helps, but the game still feels like a jumble of ideas that don't quite mesh.
It's interesting as a novelty, but Wai Wai World [T-Eng3.0] (J) never settles into a satisfying flow.
