Warasite is basically Death vs Monsters but with a gross little parasite instead, and honestly, that’s a good thing. You’re this tiny pixelated blob floating around, eating weaker parasites and dodging the nastier ones. The controls take a second to click (literally, double-clicking to drop bombs feels weird at first), but once you get the hang of it, the chaos is weirdly satisfying.
There’s a surprising amount of stuff here for a Flash game, 12 weapons to unlock, some bizarre mini-games, and levels that go from “eh, I got this” to “why are there so many of them?!” real fast. Also, feeding amoebas is weirdly cute, even if everything else is trying to murder you. Achievement hunters will have their hands full too.
It’s janky in that classic Flash way, but if you miss that era of browser games, this one’s a solid time-waster. Just don’t blame me when you realize you’ve been squinting at microscopic battles for an hour.
