Play Welltris Amiga Online
A 3D puzzle game where blocks fall into a four-sided well. Rotate and maneuver them to form complete rows on walls or the floor. Released in 1989 for Amiga.

Welltris came out for the Amiga in 1989, a follow-up to the classic Tetris developed by Spectrum Holobyte and Infogrames. It was a time when puzzle games were really starting to explore new dimensions, and this one took the falling block concept into a more complex, three-dimensional space. It felt ambitious for its era, trying to push what a simple idea could do on home computers.
You control falling groups of blocks as they descend into a four-sided well viewed from above. Your goal is to rotate and position these shapes so they form complete horizontal rows on any of the four walls or the floor; completed rows then vanish. The main mechanics involve not just rotation but also shifting pieces between the different sides of the pit, which adds a significant layer of planning compared to flat puzzle games. The pace starts manageable but quickly becomes frantic as the blocks drop faster and the well fills up. It feels like a constant, engaging battle against the accumulating chaos.
