Windjammers, also known as Flying Power Disc, came out in arcades in 1994 from Data East. You control an athlete on a small court, trying to throw the disc into your opponent's goal while defending your own. The main objective is to outscore them, either by landing clean shots or by making them miss a catch. Key mechanics include curving your throws with precise timing, using special super shots that build up as you play, and banking the disc off the walls and obstacles on each court. Matches are quick and tense, often coming down to the last point. It feels like a physical, almost athletic duel, even though you're just mashing buttons.
