Play World Games on nes Online
NES's quirky Olympics with bull riding, log tossing, and other absurd events. Master System version's missing half the fun.

If you've ever wanted to toss a giant log or ride a pixelated bull without leaving your couch, World Games on NES has you covered. It's basically the weird Olympics—eight events that range from surprisingly intense (sumo wrestling) to downright silly (log rolling). The controls take a minute to figure out—bull riding had me mashing buttons like crazy at first—but once you get the rhythm, it's oddly satisfying. The Master System version cuts the roster in half, swapping out cliff diving and weightlifting for pole vault, which honestly feels like a downgrade. Pro tip: caber toss is way harder than it looks.
