Game Overview
World Heroes 2 Jet is the Game Boy version of the third tournament in this weird little fighting series where historical figures and random warriors duke it out. You’ve got samurai, ninjas, even a cowboy—all thrown into the same ring for no clear reason, which is kind of the charm.
It’s basically an upgraded World Heroes 2 with two new fighters (Jack and Ryofu, who fit right in with the rest of the cast) and some extra modes. The new dash move makes fights feel faster, and there’s this funny moment where if you and your opponent land the same strength hit at the same time, you both freeze and push away from each other—like an awkward standoff.
There’s a proper story mode now ("Entry to the Tournament"), where you fight best-of-three matches to advance, and a training mode ("The Forging of Warriors") if you just want to practice against different opponents. The stages and music are all new, too, though it still has that classic, slightly janky World Heroes feel. Not the deepest fighter, but fun if you’re into the series.
