World Heroes 2 Jet is one of those early '90s fighters that never quite got the spotlight like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat, but it’s got its own weird charm. You pick from a roster of historical figures turned fighters—like a samurai, a viking, even Rasputin—and throw down in these over-the-top stages. The controls are simple, but some of the special moves take a little practice to nail.
What I love is how unapologetically arcade it feels. The hits have weight, the characters yell ridiculous things, and the backgrounds are packed with little details (watch for the random dinosaurs in one stage). It’s not the deepest fighter out there, but if you’re into that era of arcade brawlers, it’s a solid time. Just don’t expect a balanced tournament experience—half the fun is how janky some matchups can be.
