Okay, so World Heroes 2 Jet is basically that chaotic, over-the-top Neo Geo fighting game where historical figures beat the snot out of each other. Think Ryu vs. Genghis Khan, or Joan of Arc throwing fireballs at Rasputin. It’s ridiculous in the best way.
The first thing you’ll notice is how chunky the sprites are—this is pure 90s arcade energy. The moves are simple to pull off (just mash buttons and hope for the best), but there’s a weird charm to the clunky special attacks. My personal favorite? Hanzo’s teleporting ninja nonsense.
It’s not the deepest fighter out there, but that’s kind of the point. You pick a hero, punch someone into the stratosphere, and repeat. Perfect for when you just want to unwind with something loud and stupid. The Neo Geo version still holds up if you’re into that raw pixelated nostalgia.
