Worms Blast came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Team17. It arrived during a time when the handheld was packed with inventive spin-offs, and this one took the familiar worm-on-worm warfare into a puzzle-oriented space. It felt like a natural, if unexpected, move for the series.
You control a worm in a small boat, sailing across a single-screen puzzle stage. Your main goal is to clear all the destructible blocks by bouncing bombs off walls and obstacles. The real-time action keeps you alert; you need to aim carefully and time your shots to avoid getting hit by falling debris or enemy fire. Some stages introduce enemies that shoot back, adding pressure to an already tense environment. It feels frantic but satisfying when a well-placed shot sets off a chain reaction and clears the board.
