Play WWF King of the Ring Online
Choose your WWF star and battle through a tournament, punching, kicking, and grappling in quick matches on the go in this 1993 Game Boy wrestling game.

WWF King of the Ring came out for the Game Boy in 1993, developed by Eastridge Technology and published by LJN. It was one of the few wrestling titles available on the handheld at the time, offering a portable take on the spectacle of the World Wrestling Federation. The game arrived during a period when sports simulations on the Game Boy were often simplified out of necessity, focusing more on straightforward action than complex mechanics or deep rosters.
You choose from a small selection of WWF stars and fight through a tournament bracket, facing opponents one after another in best-of-three falls matches. The controls are basic; you punch, kick, grapple, and perform simple slams or slaps depending on your position relative to the other wrestler. There are no elaborate special moves or lengthy entrances here, just quick matches that rely on timing and reading your opponent's movements. The difficulty can feel uneven, with some matches ending quickly and others dragging as you trade blows near the ropes. It feels like a stripped-down, functional interpretation of wrestling, something you pick up for a few matches when you want a little action on the go.
