WWF King of the Ring on Game Boy is exactly what it sounds like—a stripped-down, portable version of wrestling chaos. You’ve got all the big names like Hulk Hogan and The Undertaker (well, almost—Bam Bam Bigelow and Undertaker got cut for the Game Boy version, which feels like a weird omission).
Each wrestler has stats for strength, speed, and stamina, but don’t expect fancy signature moves—everyone shares the same basic punches, kicks, and suplexes. It’s a little disappointing when you realize Razor Ramon doesn’t have his Razor’s Edge, but hey, at least you can elbow drop someone off the turnbuckle.
There’s a create-a-wrestler mode if you want to make your own powerhouse or glass cannon, and the King of the Ring tournament is fun if you’re into grinding through matches. It’s not deep, but it’s a decent way to kill time if you’re craving some old-school wrestling on the go.
