Play WWF Wrestlemania Steel Cage Online
Pick your wrestler, climb the cage, and watch the chaos unfold—Hogan tanks hits while Macho Man zips around, and that steel cage turns every match into a scramble to survive. The Mountie will wreck you if you're not careful.

WWF WrestleMania Steel Cage came out on the NES in 1990, developed by Rare and published by Acclaim. It was one of the earlier wrestling games on the system, arriving before the more polished WWF titles that followed. The game tried to capture the spectacle of the era's wrestling events, but it stood out mostly for its unique structure and unforgiving nature.
You choose from a roster of WWF stars like Hulk Hogan or Randy Savage and fight through a series of one-on-one matches inside a steel cage. The goal is to win by either pinning your opponent or escaping the cage, which involves climbing up and over the walls. Matches are screen by screen, so you move from one section of the cage to the next, and the camera pans to follow the action. You punch, kick, and grapple, but the controls feel stiff and the collision detection is often frustrating. The pacing is slow, and the AI can be brutally cheap, especially in later matches. It feels like a clumsy but earnest attempt to translate wrestling's physical drama into a video game.
