Play WWF Wrestlemania - Steel Cage Challenge Online
Choose a wrestler and battle opponents in a steel cage, using punches and grapples while climbing for an escape to win matches.
WWF WrestleMania: Steel Cage Challenge came out for the Sega Master System in 1992, published by Mindscape. It was one of the few wrestling games available on the system, arriving late in the console's life when many players were already looking ahead to the 16-bit generation. The game tried to capture the spectacle of the WWF with a roster that included Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, and Randy Savage.
You pick a wrestler and face opponents one by one, with the main goal being to win matches inside a steel cage. The core mechanics involve basic punches and grapples, but the real focus is on climbing the cage walls to escape for an instant victory. Matches are slow and deliberate, with a heavy emphasis on positioning and timing your climbs to avoid being pulled down. The difficulty can be unforgiving, as the AI opponents are relentless and the controls feel stiff by modern standards. It feels like a rough, simplistic interpretation of pro wrestling where every match becomes a tense battle of attrition.
