Game Overview
XP8_Disk1 is one of those Amiga shooters that still looks wild today—raytraced reflections everywhere, so your ship and bullets gleam like they're made of liquid metal. The first time I played, I got distracted just watching the light bounce off everything while dodging enemy fire.
You start with a basic pea-shooter, but those weapon tokens change everything. Found a hidden section by accident once and grabbed this spiraling laser thing that chewed through bosses like they were paper. Two-player mode’s where it really shines, though—way less chaotic than it sounds, and way more fun when you’ve got backup.
Five levels might not sound like much, but the passwords are a lifesaver. That final stage? Took me three tries just to stop gawking at the backgrounds long enough to survive.
