Game Overview
XP8_Disk3 is one of those Amiga shooters that still looks surprisingly slick today—those raytraced graphics give everything this weirdly shiny, reflective quality, like you're blasting through a neon funhouse. The weapons are where it gets fun: eight different types, and you can power them up multiple times if you grab enough tokens. Some are tucked away in sneaky spots, so it pays to explore a bit.
Five levels might not sound like much, but they're tough enough that you'll be glad for the password system. And if you've got a friend around, the two-player mode turns it into a chaotic, screen-filling mess of lasers and explosions—way more fun than going solo. Just don't expect much story; the intro's basically a couple of static screens before they throw you straight into the action.
It's the kind of game where you'll restart immediately after dying just to try a different weapon combo.
