Lead Princess Yggdra and her army across a grid, seize enemy bases, and strategize with cards to reclaim your kingdom in this tactical RPG.
Yggdra Union came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2006, developed by Sting and published by Atlus. It was part of that late-era GBA lineup that really pushed what the system could do with strategy games, offering something dense and complex right before the DS took over.
You control Princess Yggdra and her growing army across a grid-based map, moving your entire force as a single unit from one battle to the next. Your main goal is to reclaim the kingdom from an invading empire, which involves seizing enemy bases and surviving increasingly difficult skirmishes. The combat uses a card system for actions and attacks, and your success hinges on uniting adjacent units into formations to boost your power. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is stern, punishing careless moves. It feels like solving a tense, interactive puzzle where every decision carries weight.
