You control Princess Yggdra and her growing army, fighting to reclaim her kingdom from an invading empire. The main objective unfolds across a strategic map; you move your leader unit from node to node, engaging in battles to liberate territories. Two signature mechanics define the fights: using a limited deck of action cards that dictate your movement and attack strength for a turn, and forming "unions" by positioning adjacent units to unleash powerful combined assaults. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is stern, punishing poor planning quickly. It feels like a constant, engaging puzzle where every decision carries real weight.
