Game Overview

Yggdra Union is one of those GBA strategy RPGs that makes you think way harder than you expected. At first glance, it looks like your usual grid-based tactics game—move units, attack, rinse repeat—but then the whole "Union" mechanic hits you. Your units actually link together in battle, sharing attacks and buffs depending on how you position them. Mess it up, and you’ll watch your frontline crumble in seconds.

The story’s got that classic Sting flavor—a princess on the run, a rebellion, and way more political backstabbing than your average fantasy RPG. The card-based combat adds another layer, forcing you to plan around limited moves per turn. It’s punishing if you rush in, but weirdly satisfying when a risky play pays off. Just don’t expect to breeze through—this one demands patience.

Also, the sprite work is gorgeous for a GBA game. Those battle animations still hold up.
