Yo! Noid [T-Port] is one of those weird NES platformers that shouldn’t work but somehow does. You play as the Domino’s Pizza mascot, bouncing around New York with a yo-yo, fighting pizza delivery guys and dodging random hazards like flying pies. The controls are stiff, but after a few levels, you get used to the awkward jumps.

The first stage throws you right into it—side-scrolling past neon signs, hopping on taxis, and whipping your yo-yo at enemies. The music is upbeat, almost mocking how bizarre the whole premise is. It’s not particularly hard, but some jumps feel unfair, like the game expects you to memorize where hazards will pop up.

Yo! Noid [T-Port] is more charming than it has any right to be, even if it’s just a novelty from the era of mascot platformers. The absurdity of fighting pizza-themed enemies with a yo-yo never really wears off.
