Play Yo! Noid Online
Run and jump through urban levels as the Noid, swinging your yo-yo to defeat enemies and uncover hidden tricks to tackle obstacles in this quirky 1990 NES platformer.
Yo! Noid came out on the NES in 1990, developed and published by Capcom. It was part of that wave of licensed games that tried to cash in on a brand, in this case Domino's Pizza's then-mascot, the Noid. The game doesn't take itself seriously, which was pretty common for the era, and it stands as a strange but memorable piece of that late 80s, early 90s commercial landscape on the console.
You control the Noid himself, running and jumping through urban stages to stop an evil impostor. Your main weapon is a yo-yo that you can swing to defeat enemies, and a key mechanic involves finding hidden "trick" icons that let you perform special moves, like a helicopter spin for extra height. The levels are linear but filled with obstacles and enemies that require precise timing, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially in later stages. The whole experience feels like a slightly unhinged commercial, but there's a genuine, if janky, challenge underneath all the pizza-themed chaos.
