Play Yoshi's Cookie Online
Slide rows and columns of cookies to match them up and clear lines in this puzzle game on Game Boy. Keep the board clear as new cookies flood in and plan your moves carefully.
Yoshi's Cookie came out on the Game Boy in 1993, developed by TOSE and published by Nintendo. It was one of those simple, focused puzzle games that felt right at home on the handheld, a solid alternative to Tetris or Dr. Mario when you wanted something a little different.
You control a cursor to slide entire rows or columns of cookies, aiming to match them by type to clear lines from the grid. The main goal is to prevent the board from filling up, which gets harder as new cookies push in from the edges. Key mechanics include using special Yoshi cookies that can erase any cookie type, and later stages introduce locked cookies that must be matched multiple times. The pace starts relaxed but quickly becomes frantic, demanding quick planning under pressure. It feels satisfying to set up and trigger a long chain of matches that clears the screen just in time.
