Zupapa! is one of those Neo Geo gems that reminds you how much fun simple, chaotic platforming can be. You control this stretchy-limbed little guy who can grab onto ceilings and fling himself around—kinda like Bionic Commando if he was made of rubber. The levels are packed with enemies that just keep coming, and the whole thing has that classic arcade vibe where you’re constantly scrambling for power-ups before some random projectile takes you out.
What I love is how ridiculous it gets—you’ll be bouncing off walls, dodging lasers, and then suddenly the screen fills with some absurd boss that looks like it escaped from a toy factory. And yeah, it’s tough, but in that way where you immediately want to try again because you know you can do better next time. If you’ve ever wasted quarters on arcade games just to see how far you could get, this one’s right up your alley.
