I picked up 007: The World Is Not Enough for the Game Boy Color back in 2001, a game developed by HotGen and published by Electronic Arts. It was a solid little title for its time, fitting right in with the handheld's library of action and adventure games. You don't see many Bond games on the system, so this one stood out just by being there.
You play as James Bond, moving through levels in a top-down perspective, shooting guards and completing objectives like disarming bombs or rescuing hostages. The game uses a password system to track progress between missions, and you often drive vehicles in brief chase sequences. The pacing is brisk, though some sections demand careful shooting and quick reactions to avoid taking too much damage. It feels straightforward and satisfying to maneuver through each stage, landing shots and pushing forward without much complication.
