Game Overview

3-Demon came out in 1983 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by PC Research Inc. It was a time when maze games were common, but this one tried to stand out by adding a first-person perspective, which was still a novelty on home computers back then. The graphics were simple, built from wireframes and basic shapes, but it created a distinct sense of place and danger.

You control a small, first-person viewpoint, navigating through a series of maze-like dungeons filled with geometric enemies. Your main objective is to survive each level, avoiding or destroying the hostile shapes that patrol the corridors. The game uses screen-by-screen exploration, meaning each new section loads as you move through doorways, and combat involves shooting projectiles at foes that get too close. The pacing is deliberate, almost claustrophobic, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as the mazes become more complex and enemies more numerous. It feels tense and isolating, like being lost in a minimalist digital labyrinth where every corner could hide a threat.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
