Play 7th Saga EasyType Online

Pick a warrior, mage, or demon knight, then race six rivals for ancient runes—they level up too, so every encounter’s a gamble. That eerie synth soundtrack and lonely towns give it this weird, tense vibe you don’t see much anymore.

Game Overview

Ever play an RPG where you spend more time grinding than actually enjoying the story? 7th Saga EasyType fixes that. It’s the same weird, moody SNES classic—just without the soul-crushing difficulty spikes. You pick one of seven characters (I went with the demon knight first, because, well, demon knight), and suddenly you’re racing against the other six to collect these ancient runes. The catch? They level up just like you, so every time you bump into one later, it’s this tense standoff—do you fight, or bail?

The music’s all eerie synths, the towns feel lonely in a cool way, and there’s this weird charm to how cryptic everything is. It’s like if someone took Final Fantasy and gave it a slightly sinister makeover. Not gonna lie, the original was brutal—this version actually lets you appreciate the atmosphere without wanting to throw your controller. Still tough, but in a "I can totally do this" way instead of a "why does this exist" way.

If you’ve got a soft spot for ‘90s RPGs that tried something different, this one’s worth dusting off.
