Hunt down dinosaurs in a chaotic modern city, using firearms and melee weapons to clean up a time-tangled mess in A Sound of Thunder on Game Boy Advance.

I picked up A Sound of Thunder for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004, developed by Mobius Entertainment. It was one of those mid-2000s licensed games that tried to do something a little different, based on the sci-fi film about time travel gone wrong. The GBA had a ton of action platformers, but this one stood out with its premise; you're dealing with prehistoric creatures loose in a modern city, and the visuals shift between urban decay and primal wilderness.
You control a time safari guide trying to clean up a timeline overrun by dinosaurs. The main goal is to hunt down specific creatures across levels, using a mix of firearms and melee weapons. Combat is straightforward but tense; your rifle can overheat if fired too rapidly, forcing you to time your shots or switch to a backup weapon. Levels are built screen by screen, with some light exploration for ammo and health pickups. The pacing is fairly brisk, though some enemy encounters can get chaotic on smaller screens. It feels like a condensed, run-and-gun adventure with just enough strategy to keep you alert.
