Konami released Ace Attorney in the arcades back in 1990, a time when sports games were starting to get more complex. It was a volleyball game that stood out because it let you control a whole team, not just a single player, which was a pretty neat idea for the era.
You manage a squad of six players, switching control between them on the fly to set up attacks and block incoming spikes. The main goal is to win each match by outscoring the computer or another player, but the real challenge comes from positioning your team and timing your jumps for blocks and powerful spikes. The game moves at a fast pace, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding quick reflexes and smart substitutions. It feels incredibly satisfying when you finally coordinate a perfect play and slam the ball down for a point.
