Game Overview

Actua Soccer: Club Edition came out in 1997 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Gremlin Interactive Limited. It was one of the early attempts at 3D soccer on PC, arriving at a time when polygonal players and basic texture mapping were still novel. The game featured real club teams and players, which gave it an edge for fans wanting something more authentic than the abstract arcade offerings of the era.

You control all eleven players on your chosen team, switching between them to pass, tackle, and shoot. The main objective is to outscore your opponent within the match time. Signature mechanics include a through-pass system for breaking defensive lines and manual player switching for tighter defensive control. The pace is fast, almost frantic, with matches that can quickly swing from end to end. It feels like a rough but earnest simulation, where every clumsy challenge and hopeful long shot carries a certain charm.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
