I picked up a copy of The Addams Family: Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt for the Super Nintendo back in 1993. It was developed and published by Ocean Software, and it felt like a pretty typical platformer for its time on the SNES, leaning into that spooky cartoon vibe without trying to reinvent the wheel.

You play as Pugsley Addams, and your goal is to find a bunch of items scattered throughout the mansion before the time runs out. The game is broken up into separate, screen by screen rooms, and you'll jump over gaps, avoid traps, and dodge attacks from your own family members, like Uncle Fester's electric bolts or Cousin Itt's surprise appearances. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty can be pretty unforgiving, especially with the constant timer pressure.
