You play as Gomez Addams in this weirdly charming NES platformer, jumping through the family’s creepy mansion to rescue Wednesday, Pugsley, and the rest from their shady lawyer. The controls feel a little stiff at first—Gomez slides a bit when you stop running—but once you get used to it, bouncing off walls and dodging traps becomes weirdly satisfying. The music’s got that classic eerie Addams Family vibe, and some of the rooms are full of little details from the movies, like Thing popping up to hand you keys. It’s not the hardest platformer out there, but it’s got enough oddball charm to keep you going.
