Play Adventures of Batman & Robin, The Online
Dodging sniper fire between Gotham’s neon-lit rooftops, cape fluttering as you barely make jumps—until some thug’s crowbar sends you tumbling. Robin’s optional, but Batman’s the one who’ll need ice packs after fighting Freeze.

I picked up The Adventures of Batman & Robin for the Super Nintendo back in 1994, a Konami release that came out when the console was absolutely stacked with action games. It was based on the animated series, so it had that specific look and feel, which was a big draw if you were a fan of the show. It fit right in with the platform's library, offering another solid side-scrolling beat 'em up to test your skills.
You control Batman, with Robin available for two-player co-op, moving through stages filled with thugs, traps, and famous villains like Mr. Freeze or the Joker. The main objective is to fight your way to the end of each level, defeating the boss to progress. Signature mechanics include using a variety of batarangs and gadgets to attack enemies from a distance, as well as navigating environmental hazards that require precise jumps and timing. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty is notably tough, with enemy patterns that demand quick reactions. It feels like a relentless, satisfying challenge that captures the constant action of the cartoon.
