If you've ever pumped quarters into an arcade cabinet back in the day, Aero Fighters on MAME will hit you right in the nostalgia. You pick one of those weirdly specific fighter jets (I always go for the F-14 because, well, Top Gun), and suddenly you're dodging bullets and missiles like your life depends on it.

The first level lulls you into thinking "this isn't so bad," then the screen fills with enemy planes and you realize you're in for a proper arcade beatdown. The bosses are ridiculous in the best way—giant floating fortresses that take up half the screen while spewing enough firepower to make you question your life choices.

It's got that perfect balance of "just one more try" frustration and "hell yeah!" moments when you finally thread through a bullet storm. Definitely one of those games where you'll catch yourself leaning sideways in your chair like it'll help your jet dodge better.
