Game Overview

Agressive Inline came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Z-Axis and published by Acclaim. It was part of that early 2000s wave of extreme sports games, a time when portable systems were really starting to deliver console-like action. This one stood out for focusing on inline skating, a nice change of pace from all the skateboarding titles.

You control an inline skater, moving through a series of urban and suburban levels. The main goal is to complete each stage by reaching the finish line before time runs out, while also performing tricks to boost your score. Signature mechanics include grinding on rails and ledges, pulling off mid-air flips and grabs, and using manuals to link combos together. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding precision in your movements and trick timing. It feels fluid and responsive when you nail a long combo, though the small screen can make some obstacles hard to see coming.
