Air Cavalry on the SNES is one of those games that grabs you by the collar and doesn’t let go. The first mission throws you right into it: no tutorials, just a radar blipping with red dots and that satisfying thump-thump-thump of your chaingun.

What I love is how it nails that arcade vibe—no fussing with fuel or complicated controls, just pure dogfighting and strafing runs. The terrain actually matters, too; duck behind a mountain to shake a missile, or skim low over canyons to avoid radar. It’s got that ‘90s charm where everything’s a little pixelated but somehow feels more intense than modern HD explosions.
