Play Alvin and the Chipmunks - The Squeakquel (E) Online
Tap along to chipmunk covers of pop songs, nail combos, and play mini-games like air hockey—it’s silly but weirdly addictive for a movie game.

I picked up Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel for the Nintendo DS back in 2009, developed by Sensory Sweep Studios. It was one of those licensed games that came out alongside the movie, pretty common for the DS at the time. You don't expect much from these tie-ins, but sometimes they surprise you with a few decent ideas.
You control Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, switching between them to solve simple puzzles and navigate through levels. The main goal is to help the Chipmunks win a music competition, which involves a lot of rhythm-based mini-games where you tap to the beat of their high-pitched pop covers. Besides the music sections, there are other activities like air hockey and some basic exploration to find items. The pacing is relaxed, and it's not very difficult, making it suitable for younger players. It feels like a light, cheerful distraction that doesn't overstay its welcome.
