Animaniacs on the Game Boy came out in 1995, published by Konami. It was a time when licensed platformers were everywhere, and this one tried to capture the show's manic energy on the small screen. You guide the Warner siblings through a series of movie studio backlots and soundstages, each area packed with the kind of gags and references fans would recognize.

You control Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, switching between them to use their unique abilities. Yakko pushes heavy boxes, Wakko smashes obstacles with a giant mallet, and Dot can stun certain enemies by blowing them a kiss. The main goal is to explore each stage, find a set number of "Good Idea" balloons, and then reach the exit. The game is built on screen-by-screen exploration and light puzzle solving, often requiring you to backtrack with the right sibling to clear a path. It can feel a bit slow and the platforming is sometimes unforgiving, but successfully using the trio's different skills to cause chaos is a genuine delight.
