Game Overview

Animaniacs on SNES is one of those weird licensed games that actually gets the chaotic energy of the show right. You bounce between Yakko, Wakko, and Dot mid-level—Yakko’s got range with his slingshot, Wakko swings a mean mallet, and Dot… well, she’s basically a living jump button with her floaty spin attack. The levels are packed with dumb little gags and hidden stuff, like that one room where you just bonk a bunch of pigeons for no reason.

It’s not the tightest platformer ever (some of those hitboxes are questionable), but swapping characters on the fly keeps things interesting when you hit a puzzle. Also, the music’s way catchier than it has any right to be. If you grew up with the Warner siblings’ nonsense, this is a surprisingly decent way to relive it.
