Play Ardy Lightfoot Online
Toss your penguin buddy at weird enemies, bounce on giant mushrooms, and fight bizarre bosses in this forgotten SNES gem that feels like playing a trippy cartoon.

Ardy Lightfoot is one of those weird, charming SNES platformers that slipped under the radar. You play as this cat dude (with suspiciously human proportions) who teams up with Pec, a round little penguin buddy you can toss at enemies. It’s as ridiculous as it sounds, and I mean that in the best way.
The whole thing feels like someone threw a Saturday morning cartoon into a platformer—you’re hopping through these bright, surreal levels collecting rainbow pieces while dodging enemies that look like rejected Muppet designs. The bosses are especially unhinged, like a giant angry snowman or a floating mask that spits fireballs.
What I like is how it keeps throwing little surprises at you. One minute you’re bouncing on mushrooms, the next you’re riding a minecart or getting backup from random characters like Nina (who shoots arrows) or this Indiana Jones knockoff named Don Jacoby. It’s janky in places, but that just adds to its weird personality.
If you’re into obscure 16-bit games with more charm than polish, this one’s a trip.
