Game Overview

Atari Greatest Hits - Volume 1 is basically a time machine for your DS. You get a bunch of those old-school arcade classics—stuff like Asteroids and Centipede—but now they fit in your pocket. The controls take a second to get used to (especially if you’ve never played on an actual Atari joystick), but after a few rounds, it clicks.

Some of these games feel brutally simple compared to modern stuff, but that’s kind of the charm. There’s no tutorials or cutscenes—just you, a spaceship, and a screen full of pixelated aliens. My personal favorite? Missile Command. Still weirdly stressful after all these years.

If you’ve got nostalgia for arcade cabinets or just want to see what gaming used to be like, this is a solid little collection. Just don’t expect fancy graphics or save files—these are straight-up ports of the originals.
