Play Avatar - The Legend Of Aang - Into The Inferno (KS)(NEREiD) Online
Swiping the stylus to bend elements feels janky at first, but launching Fire Nation goons with earth pillars never gets old. Those pixel art cutscenes hit just right if you grew up with the show.

I picked up Avatar: The Legend of Aang - Into the Inferno for the Nintendo DS back in 2008, a time when licensed games were a mixed bag but handhelds were full of experiments. Published by THQ, it was one of those titles you'd grab hoping it captured some of the show's spirit without being a total slog. The DS library had plenty of action adventures, and this one tried to stand out with its touch screen integration, for better or worse.
You control Aang and occasionally switch to Katara, Sokka, or Toph, navigating side scrolling environments and fighting Fire Nation soldiers. The main goal involves stopping the Fire Nation's latest scheme, which plays out across levels that mix combat with light exploration. Signature mechanics include using the stylus to draw elemental bending patterns (fire blasts, earth walls) and solving environmental puzzles that block your path. The pacing is brisk, though the touch controls can feel imprecise during hectic fights, leading to some frustration. Despite the occasional clunky moment, there's a genuine satisfaction in pulling off a combo that clears a screen of enemies.
