Baby Felix Halloween is one of those weirdly charming Game Boy Color platformers where you play as either Felix the cat (dressed as a cowboy for some reason) or his tiny witch friend Baby Kitty. The whole thing starts with them sneaking into a spooky abandoned house, and some mysterious voice immediately tells them to go find magic keys to rescue their friends—no warm-up, just straight to business.
You’ll jump through five different time periods, which is where things get fun. One minute you’re dodging dinosaurs in prehistory, the next you’re platforming through a Halloween-themed level with floating pumpkins. The Far West section feels especially random, but in a good way—like the developers just threw in whatever sounded cool.
If you watched the Baby Felix cartoon as a kid, you’ll recognize a bunch of characters popping up throughout the game. It’s not the hardest platformer out there, but there’s something oddly satisfying about the way Felix’s little cowboy hat bobs when he jumps. Just don’t expect the story to make much sense.
