Game Overview

Back to the Future II on the Amiga is basically five mini-games stitched together, each riffing on a different scene from the movie. Some work better than others—the hoverboard sections feel like a weird Paperboy knockoff where you’re dodging bullies instead of throwing newspapers, and the isometric view makes judging jumps way harder than it should be.

The Jennifer Rescue bit is oddly tense—you’re just opening and closing doors to keep her from running into her future family, but the way they wander around makes it weirdly stressful. And yeah, there’s a Double Dragon-style brawler where you punch through Biff’s goons, though the controls are a little stiff. The sliding puzzle with the band photo? Fine if you like that sort of thing, but the timer breathing down your neck doesn’t help.

It’s definitely a product of its time—uneven, but fun if you’re a fan of the movies. Just don’t expect anything groundbreaking.
